The AI solution Mai Life is developed in close collaboration between Genair8 and Alexandra Institute, combining practical experience from municipal casework with deep expertise in artificial intelligence, data governance and responsible technology.
The collaboration focuses on building an AI solution that can support professionals in handling complex case material while meeting the high standards required in welfare services.
Administrative work represents a growing challenge in municipal case processing. In many areas, professionals spend a large part of their time reviewing extensive documentation, reports and legislation before they can prepare a case.
Mai Life is designed to support this work by creating overviews of large case files, generating structured summaries and translating complex legal language into more accessible formulations.
Focus on precision, governance and digital sovereignty
A key priority in the collaboration with Alexandra Institute has been ensuring high precision, strong governance and responsible use of AI.
The platform is built using open-weight language models, allowing the solution to operate without reliance on global AI platforms. The infrastructure is designed to ensure secure handling of sensitive personal data and compliance with regulations such as GDPR and the EU AI Act.
This approach supports the ambition of combining high performance with strong data protection and digital sovereignty.
Supporting professionals – not replacing them
Mai Life is designed to support the professional expertise of caseworkers, not to replace it. The AI solution assists with time-consuming preparatory tasks such as analysing large case files and structuring information. All professional assessments and decisions remain the responsibility of the caseworker.
By reducing administrative workload, the ambition is to give professionals more time to focus on their core task: supporting citizens.
Testing with municipalities
Genair8 is currently testing Mai Life together with municipal partners in Denmark. Based on the results so far, the company expects the first municipalities to move into operational deployment in May 2026, initially focusing on specialised services for children and youth.
